"We've used our Zen in Oregon wilderness, Idaho's Sawtooth's and anywhere else we had a mind to go. For the money, this is one of the best packing tents I've found, and I've been doing it for 25 years. It can be a little cramped for two, and you still have to stake it out, but it works. Under 6 pounds, easy to set up, has a full coverage fly and has excellent ventilaltion. I could wish for another door, but there's no place to put one. Check out prices-----I got mine for less than a hundred bucks on sale."

"I've been using my Zen for over three years now, with great success. It's plenty roomy enough for my girlfriend and I, but it's crowded for two large guys -- something I discovered during an unexpected downpour when I extended hospitality to a buddy who'd brought only a bug bivy. The taped seams and bathtub-style floor keep moisture at bay. The mesh keeps scorpions out in good weather, while still allowing a clear view of the stars. My tent is a slightly older model, which seems to weigh-in about half a pound lighter than the current Zen. Weight can be trimmed a bit by purchasing after-market stakes to replace the junky ones included with the tent, and bringig just enough along."

"This tent is so great in so many ways. The price was outstandingly reasonable, the weight is very managable and the size is fine as long as you don't mind being quite close to the person you are with. The rainfly is probably my favorite part of the tent--absolute full coverage. The vestibule is great for smelly gear to leave outside. It takes a couple of tries to get used to setting it up though, and the since it's so dependent on its stakes, it can be difficult if the ground is rock hard."

"I've gotta say I love my Zen! That is, I loved it up until some weiner schnitzel stole my bag of poles from a nasty 'drive in' campground!
Don't lose your poles people!! Kelty is merciless when it comes to the cost of replacing them... try 2/3 the tent cost! Ugh..."

"I've had theis tent for a number of year and still ove it! Wether in the mountains or caping on horse back this tent has been great. Very compact for two though! Better tent stakes should be purchased"
