"My Glacier is one of the older 3500 cubic inch units. Top load only, no front pocket, just two side pockets with slots for skis.
For a cheap pack, this thing just won't quit. For seriously long day hikes carrying the food and water for a family of 5, or using it as a top-loading over night pack, it is very good for what it is.
I think mine was $79 from Campmor."
"I have a 2000 Cubic inch glacier backpack and it is amazing! I have fit so much things in it, I am still amazed. From rollerblades, 6 bottles of wine, a 12 pack and 6 pack of bottles, laptops, school books, overnight backpacking trips, this backpack still has more things to do. The hip belt is a plus when you have heavy loads. Very poor ventilation makes for a sweaty back. The zippers for the stowaway hip belt are also broken."
