"I bought this pack primarily because I am a firm believer in Kelty equipment, and I have not been dissapointed. The pack has a lot of features for a not-too-steep price. Abundant compression straps make it easy to stabilize any size load, and are also useful for holding loose items (jackets, rainwear, etc.). The pack has been very comfortable and carried weight very well. In fact, I liked it so much that I bought the Womens version for my wife for upcoming trips. She hasn't used it yet, but it has all the same features as mine, but is fitted for her. Bottom line: good quality backpack, lots of features, and affordable to the common man (or woman, as the case may be)."

"I bought two of these packs which my son and I put to good use in the mountains of Utah. They carry loads very well and are surprisingly comfortable. I believe for the price you can't get a better backpack."

"Trecking with a group for two weeks gives you a pretty good idea of what people think of there equipment. Eventhough the Tornado was one of the least expensive packs there I believe it out preformed ever adjustable and most of the fitted packs that were being used."

"I had this pack for two years and took it on several overnite hikes. It worked great. I would still be using it but i am going on more lengthy hikes and the 3800cu in volume just isnt enough. If you are looking for a comfortable smaller pack this one is great!!!"

"Great pack, great price (got mine at Sierra Trading Post). How can you go wrong? Lots of pockets, easy access, lots of storage room. Hydration compatible. Daisy chain to hang things off. Sleeping bag compartment. I found it very comfortable to carry. Can't think of any cons, sorry."
