"I bought this backpack at Costco for $65.00. It has been a very good investment for me.
I am 6'0", and use the pack on the last of its ladder adjustments, so if you're taller, or have a long torso, you might look elsewhere. The Rain cover has been a very nice plus when a shower comes along, and the detachable fanny pack and summit packs are great.
You can daisy-chain off the summit pack, so I use if for all sorts of hikes away from a base camp.
At 3950 CU, it gets a little tight on space sometimes, but I actually like that, as it forces me to keep my load lighter.
A good pack for the money."
"LOVE this pack. My husband and I bought one for each of us at Costco last year. We were able to sell his older packs on Ebay for more than these packs cost us! The rain fly as well as the detachable packs are great features. The pack has WONDERFUL padding and adjusts easily- no soreness or bruises. All in all- a great pack at a great value!"
"I bought this pack at Costco last year to do a 75 mile hike in the Washington Cascades… The pack worked like a dream. All the guys I went with spent more on their packs and were jealous of all the pouches and compartments I had in mine. Again, if you are tall, try it before you buy it. I am 6’0” and I don’t think anyone any taller than me could ware it. The built-in rain cover was a very nice bonus."
"Great design but only comfortable if you're 5 feet tall. The maximumum adjustable torso height is 23" (however it's good for a waist to 50"!)."
"This pack is super comfortable with all its padding. For an older pack the weight/space ratio (4lbs 9oz and 3,950 C.I.)is pretty good, too. Love the attached raincover, which really keeps things dry. The detachable daypack on top comes in very handy for day hikes. Now after a few year's use the material starts to fray a bit around the zinch closure on top. Still, for a pack in this price range it's pretty fabulous."
