"I got this tent for half-price. Coleman advertises this as a 2 man tent, but with only 27 sq. ft. and a very narrow foot, you better be awfully friendly! When it arrived, I weighed it on a digital scale at work and it came in at 4 lb., including the box! This is a great 1 person tent! It has 2 doors with 2 large vestibules (9 sq. ft.). The inner tent is mostly mesh. In warm weather with no fly pitched, it's a joy to sleep in! Near freezing, condensation can be a problem since there are no vents and the door zippers work in only 1 direction. All in all, though, I'm very satisfied."

"I have had this tent for a couple of years now and find it to be an absolutely excellent tent. I have recently used it during two nights of torrential downpours on the AT and stayed absolutely dry throughout. Though small and lightweight there is more than enough room for one person to sleep and to lounge and read during bad weather. The two vestibules are very handy, as is the overhead pouch. I have had no problem with condensation even in close to freeezing temps. Sometimes I close the fly doors with only the velcro instead of the zippers for a litttle added venting. Otherwise, its size and design maximize the retention of body heat on colder nights."

"I've had my Inyo 2 (same as the Coleman Cobra) for about two years and love it. It seem to handle wind, snow and rain well. Can't beat the price (under $70 on sale).
Great solo tent...too small for two people unless they are really small or friendly. This is probably the best value backpacking tent for under $100."

"agree w/ above comments about it's positives. although, i find that the foot of my sleeping bag gets some moisture on it from contact with the tent. as it, unless pitched completely taut, has crowded foot box. in the new inyo, a second pole is added to raise the clearance here... not sure if this is an improvement or not, because the new inyo is close to 5lbs."

"With out a doubt the best tent value in camping. got mine for 75.00 2 years ago! and it's still a great solo tent for newbie's and repeaters."

"Totally agree with high ratings on this tent. For the price, it simply cannot be beat. Kudos to Coleman, this tent is a grand slam. Quality contruction comparable to the "big name" tents. Agree that 2 people rating is a stretch, but for 1 it is perfect. Small pack size, perfect for packing in a kayak. This tent is worth every penny."

"Decided to go with this tent, because I trust Coleman Exponent products. Tent setup is easy and fast, vestible space leaves enough room for shoes on each side of tent. I like how this tent has 2 doors one on each side. Took this tent out 1 night in the Oregon mountains and it poured nonstop for 8 hours; not a drop in the tent (We actually woke up several times to hear our camping buddies next door arguing because they had a leak on their 2 hour old tent. ) I will be bring this tent to New Zealand for a year, because I like it that much. Weight is not going to be fun for LD hikes but I believe the extra 1.5 lbs this tent adds on (opposed to a 1 man solo tent) is worth it for the extra space and comfort. For two people to sleep in this tent is not hard, I weigh 150 and am 5'11. Great tent, recommended."

"This is definatly a worthwhile tent, I took it out for a week and it rained about half the time. Stayed absolutely dry even when I had crap leaning against the sides of it. It stayed taunt and the Inyo 2 was plenty of room for me and my pack and such. I'm very very happy with this tent. Taking it with me for 8 weeks of trek in the Adirondacks this summer.
Fast Setup, lightweight."

"Love this tent, I concur with other reviewers. Not really suitable for two people but perfect for one. Great value."

"First of all i should point out that i had a "coleman cobra 2" which is as far as i can tell the British version of the "inyo" and almost exactly the same but in a different colour.
A great wee tent! Well its actually not all that small one you get inside it. On more that one occasion my fellow campers looked at it and laughed but this was soon resolved when i showed then the inner!!! very spacious for its size!! Fitted myself and a friend with full pack into the inner it with no problems. The porches are really a bit small for full sized packs but are still perfectly good for keeping boots and stoves out of the rain. I Used this tent for over 2 years on countless camping and hiking trips in Scotland and it stood up2 near gale force winds and torrential downpours with out a problem!!! Although i did find that water tended to seem through the ground sheet and damped the underside of my carry mat. All in all for the £80 i paid for it its 1 of the best backpacking tents in its price range!"

"This tent is by far a great tent for one person. Also, like others have said, even works great with a significant other. With one it has plenty of room for you and gear. Lightweight 4-5 lbs. I got mine at Marshall\'s brand new for $40. But now that I have it, would not have been upset paying full $75-99 dollar coleman price."

"I have to agree with the other reviews - this is a very good tent and an oustanding value. I bought mine for solo hikes at which it excels. It does not leak. Has plenty of room for one person, and 80 pound labrador retriever, and all of my gear. For the weight and the money, a simply outstanding piece of equipment."

"Great value, not too small for two if you are close (take your spouse/significant other), and extremely adaptable to all weather. Have used it winter camping where the small space traps in much needed heat."
