"I bought these boots at a reputable store for $100 because they were lat years
model. It took over two months of just walking in them to break them in. Now they are
my favorite pair. They are heavy but you get used to them. You can do anything in these boots.
The only problem is the rings rust after exposure to the salt water. They are crampon capatable and
have wonderful traction. they ride high on the leg but the leather feels wonderful. Probably the last boot I
will ever buy. Vasque is wonderful when it somes to one peice leather boots."
"Initially I was very pleased with these boots. They had excellent support, great traction, completely waterproof (i.e. Gore-Tex storm sock,) and tough as nails. Unfortunately this is a bit of a jaded review. On my first trip in them they developed a strange sort of buckle in the leather on the inside of my right ankle, which really took away a lot of their support, and allowed my foot to slide up and down in them. By the end of the trip my foot was hamburger. Vasque has not offered much help with them, but oh well. All in all I think they would have been a great pair of boots if not for my specific problem."
