"We have owned this tent for several seasons. It has been great for our family. We manage to backpack with our 3 children with ample room and comfort. We have used it in rain, snow, and high winds and have always remained dry. We have had a small issue with condensation from time to time. But, we may not have been using the ventilation system correctly. The weight has never been an issue, try finding a family backpacking tent that weighs less... All in all, we love this tent and would ,most likely buy it again."

"I am a scoutmaster and purchased Mountain Pass 8 mountain pass 4's 10 years ago (grey/purple) for my troop. Most of these tents have seen about 8-2 night trips per year ( 160 camping nights). No broken poles (aluminum), 1 bad zipper, and a couple of missing clips have been the only damages. Eureka has provided replacement parts just from a phone call. I love this tent, the XT version with the vestibules and dual entry are even nicers. It is so hard to find a good tent with a fly that covers the whole tent like the mountain pass. It is harder and harder to find a replacement, and I am unsure what kind of a tent my troop could purchase that would perform as well to replace them."
