"Bulkier than my thermarest. About the same weight. Open and closed cell foam laminated to each other enclosed in a nylon cover. Comfortable (open cell foam), no worry about holes, cover has a pocket inside to hold a fleece or whatever for a pillow. Insulates great (closed cell foam). Will make a great cold weather pad due to its combination of foams."

"For the most part, I agree with the previous review. The plusses are insulation and durability. Bulk is a a downside. The one thing I would add is that I felt that this pad is significantly less comfortable than a ThermaRest of comparable weight and bulk.I will take this pad on any cold weather trips."

The pad isn't as comfy.
BUT,
a HUGE plus for me is that it will never deflate. My thermarest looks like its got smallpox with all the wads of thermarest goop on it...
The durability is worth it for me even if it is bulkier and slightly less comfortable."
