"RUN! RUN! RUN! Purchased the boots about 5 years ago and loved them. This summer on an alpine trip the soles on both boots seperated. I reatached them with tape and wore my sandels as much as possible. No one can resole them and the Company "might" help if I can find a receipt..."

"I bought my boots in 2002 and loved them (upper support and comfortability). In 2005, I decided to pull them out and wear them and after an hour of walking I noticed the soles were literally disentigrating. I had to run back to my car before I was barefoot. "

"Ankle support frame padding broke down quickly and made them too painful to wear. Company would NOT allow a refund or exchage nor would the store from which I bought them at Marin Outdoors in Santa Rosa, Calif.
This was a rip-off for $200 boots."

"The are the most rugged boots ever made. I've owned them for four years and haven't wore another hiking boot since. Superb quality and support."

"Put maybe 50 miles on these boots. Loved the fit. Shortly afterward, they cracked open and literally disentegrated on a 9 mile backpacking trip. Worst boots I've ever owned."

"Owned these boot for years and loved them. they fit great but run a bit hot. Just pulled them out of the closet and all the rubber bits including the sole came apart. Never had a boot disentigrate like this."

"Initially I loved this boot. I pulled them out of the closet and wore them for some easy hiking and they exploded. The foam that bonds the sole to the sole support to the upper disintegrated."

"I left camp to climb Mount Saint Helens with my little-worn Asolo Meridian boots intact and retured to camp with the soles strapped to the uppers with zip ties and parachute cord. Both soles completely separated from the uppers! I loved these boots before this trip. They were very comfortable."
