"Good self inflating pad for the money. You get what you pay for and Therm-a-rest delivers when it comes to a light and easy to carry pad thats big on comfort."

"This is the best Thermarest pad I've used. Its a nice balance between weight and comfort. I don't enjoy the open cell foam pads, so thats outta the question. The GL take up little space in my pack and weighs 19 oz. I've noticed some of the newer ones weigh 22 oz. not sure what the difference is. Just put your pack under your legs at night and you have full coverage and its super-comfy!"

"Not sure I'd use it in winter, but for above-freezing weather, this product has worked great for me. I don't see any need for the full-length version. (If the ground is rough or my feet get cold, I just pad the area with clothes.)

I've taken mine on at least half a dozen multi-day trips (putting it through plenty of abuse), and it still looks and works good as new. Very durable.

If I was buying a new one, I might consider something a tiny bit thicker and/or wider, but it'd be hard to part with something so light and compact."
