"These poles are wonderful!!! They are lightweight, pack down small, and are easy to separate and clean. I like how the poles come apart so easily, so if I get water in them, drying the poles is a cinch. Also, I like that the method for keeping the poles at a specific length doesn't rely on rotational friction. Unlike many other companies, Black Diamond uses a "Flick-Lock" system to secure the pole, so you don't have to worry about a good grip or dry hands. Even with gloves on, the poles are a cinch to adjust. About the only "downside" would be that the mesh "bracelet" which keeps the poles secure to your hands is a little slow in drying. That, and the fact that the grips could be more comfortable with foam rather than hard plastic, but, given the price point and other features, that isn't a big deal to me. If you want that, step up in the Black Diamond line to a more expensive set of poles."
