"Great light, I am also a hunter and I used this light for cleaning game at night. When the "cheap" ligths fail, my Tikka is there to save the day (night). Not too bright and that is a pro for me. I have good night vision and the brighter lights really bother me."

"Purchased my Tikka overseas and it was and is great. For light night work it did the job well. The battery life is one of the greatest features other than hands free use. Now back home, it goes with me everywhere. Do yourself a favor and get one."

"Great Light... it's come to my rescue a couple of times when a hike ran longer than I was planning....the plastic where the two halves snap together cracked on mine. It's been this way for about 6 months though and I haven't experienced any problems using it, I just have to be careful on the rare occassions where I have to replace the batteries. I'm thinking about updating to the new version, for the extra LED as well as the tilt feature (I use my headlamp for reading quite a lot)"

"one word, sweet. The original batteries have been with me for almost six months and still going. I love the LED intensity and I have the recent multi bright version, it's awsome when you need a flood or just a midnight time check, it's the best light set-up for that ever pleasing Nalgene mood light trick (use a colored nalgene, with out a million stickers, and place the lit tikka bulbs down into an open widemouth, it's a great center piece for the night ending group process or a mock camp fire feel, if you use the new fire red color..."

"Spectacular lamp; won't leave home without it. Weighing in at some ridiculously small figure, this little fella provides enough light to cook, read, find your whiskey flask, or whatever else you would have lost until morning without it. I make it out several times a year, and have used mine for 2.5 seasons without changing the batteries. Worth every penny."

"this thing is awesome! i have used it many times caving and hicking and i have not replaced the batteries. it doesnt shine real far but it gets the job done. its crazy light you will forget you have it on. i slept in mine once and didnt realize until a friend asked me at breakfast why i was wearing it. the only draw back its not water proof."

"Great light, i used mine on a 21-day hike/rock climbing/canoeing trip with North Carolina Outward Bound School, I never had to change the batteries during the trip or during my next 9 day hiking trip, great for cooking at night it gives a even light over a large area, it also is a good reading lamp. its pretty crazy how energy efficent the LED lights are, if your a newbee hiker you may want to see if you like hiking enough to buy one, but if your a hardcore hiker its well worth the cost!"

"This thing is the best, one of my most coveted pieces of equipment, I used it a week ago on my first night hike and the Tikka did its job and then some. It was a 3-day trip and I still havent changed the batteries"

"I bought my Tikka last year and promptly used it for a week straight in the White Mts. I am constantly amazed by the quantity and quality of light this tiny unit gives off. It is an excellent reading light, and throws a soft, blueish, EVEN light over a wide area. I carry the Tikka in my car as an emergency light for fixing a flat, etc. It comes in handy all the time! I am still using the original batteries and it is just as bright. Buy one. BTW, I recently threw away ALL of my other headlamps(3)."

"incredible value, no longer have to worry about saving battery or carrying xtra batteries, great reading light"

"This is a great little (and I do mean little) headlamp. It is very powerful for its size also; giving off a bluish, soft light that is very good to read by and do just about anything. It is also very light and comfortable to wear; you barely know you have it on. At $35 it is well worth the price; the l.e.d. light will burn for up to 150 hours on two AAA batts! I'd spend that much just replacing the AA's on my old headlamp to keep up."
