"Fantastic stove. Albeit kinda heavy when fully fueled. Simmers
great, starts easily, use it on a dozen or so trips last season without
a single rebuild/cleaning (using white-gas). Literature says it can
burn gasoline, diesel, kerosene, but I haven't tried it. The 11 oz.
tank holds more fuel than I burn in several days."
"Had this stove for nearly 15 years until it finally wore out. It always lit no matter how bad the wind and weather. I usually had water boiling while the other campers were still trying trying to "prime" their stoves. The fuel tank seems endles also. I've gone on four day treks and came back and dumped unused gas back into the main can. If there's any downside to this unit, it's the location of the control knob being so close to the burner. Great Stove. I'm going out right now to get another one."
"I have had this stove for at least 10 years; I had a MSR whisperlite before and it couldn't hold a candle to this one. It lights every time on the first try, is stable and the tank never seems to run out. 10 times easier to light than the MSR and being self-contained, is super-easy to pack. The extra ounces are well worth it.
Pros: self-contained, lots of fuel, always lights, self-leveling, dependable.
Cons: heavier than some; turning the pump handle while covering the little hole after pumping takes some practice."
"My daughter is 16 so I've had it at least that long. It hasn't required any service and I'm poor with consistent maint. Extremely reliable...one trip with old white gas it still fired up. Sputtered a lot but still got the H2O boiling. Simmers great!! The biggest con for me has been that it's not as pack friendly as my whisperlite."
