"This is a good basic stove and at around $30 it's one of the cheapest. It burns a butane/propane mix from a detachable, reconnectable cylinder (no hoses or lines). The stove attaches directly to the top of the cylinder with a simple twist-on collar which seems to seal tightly. The flame can be adjusted very precisely with the knob which turns very smoothly. The flame can be turned up pretty high for fast boiling or very low for a mild simmer. The pan supports easily fold in for storage and lock in place when extended. They have no points or sharp edges like other stoves so you dont have to worry about puncturing or tearing your pack or something in it. It weighs a few ounces more than super-light all aluminum type stoves but it seems more durable than those types and when folded in, it easily fits within the palm of your hand. The replacement cylinders are about the size of a small bowl and are pretty lightweight and are not expensive. They also seem to last a while before running out. I used one cylinder over two 5-day long backpacking trips, cooking twice a day, and there was still a good amount of gas left after that. This is not a self-igniting stove so you need a spark/flame source to light it. If you plan on using this stove anywhere windy (mountains & open, exposed areas) you should get the optional windguard. Overall, the Bleuet 270 micro is a good performing, basic and affordable stove."
