There are 31 hiker-biker campsites located along the canal approximately every 5 miles from Swain's Lock (Mile 16.6) to Evitts Creek (Mile 180.1). These campsites permit tent camping only. Pump well water and pit toilets are available. Stay is limited to one night per site per trip. |

Marsden Tract is reserved for use by civic and scout organizations. Camping at the Marsden Tract (Mile 12) requires an advance permit. Permits will be issued for groups of thirty-five (35) people or fewer and may be obtained by calling the Great Falls Tavern at 301-299-3613. |
