"My scout troop uses uses theses pices of junk. They, at best, hold out as much water as a strainer. No wind resistence, cheap as heck poles (my guess there wooden.) i was in a slight drizzle and the useless (also heavy as an elephant) tent filled (yes FILLED) with water. It can keep in water in but it cant keep it out. The zippers break easily too and to get them fixed it costs as much as the tent new. In a slight wind it is fun too look at the swaying of the roof, it also makes you dizzy. Listening to the poles snap in a storm is fun too. To boot, they sometimes press flat or flip over in storms with you in them and staked down. You get what you pay for............thank god the only retailer that is dumb enough to sell them is Acadamy."

"I have the same tent in a "5 person" version. I couldn't agree more with the previous reviewer about the lack of quality in Timber Creek Tents. They are junk.

Even the SLIGHTEST breeze folds in the side of the tent and before long, the entire rain fly, although still latched on to the tent, is on the ground. USELESS."

"For what it's worth, I have a 1998 Timber Creek Klondike II tent that took me throughout NM, UT, and CO and performed extraordinarily well. Granted, I waterproofed and watersealed the thing pretty well before I departed, but if you don't do that, you get the results you deserve. My stepsons have used the tent as well since then and report great results, even in rain. I'm in the process of resealing and rewaterproofing it for an upcoming trip and I have no qualms about taking it on the road. Perhaps TC isn't making them like they used to. All I know is mine has served me well...and continues to."

"I've had my Timber Creek gunnison tent for almost 3 years now, and personally I like it. I haven't done any heavy-duty camping, but for where I've used the tent it has served me well. It's very cost-friendly and works fine. My only complaint is that it says it sleeps two but is a little small for that, really."
