"I just bought the Viper and absolutely love it. Its a great 4 season tent with plenty of ventilation for the warm seasons. Set up is easy, room is plentiful. Easy to get in and out of. The only problems I see with this tent is that the zip ventilation panels zip down and get in the way a little bit. It would be nice if they zipped up and attached high on the ceiling out of the way. Overall, a great tent to own."

"I have had my viper for about 3 years now. I couldn't ask for a better tent. The tent is extremely stable. I was out one night in Texas when the winds reached 60 mph. The others in my group had their tents flattened by the wind, my viper rattled a bit but didn't even think about collapsing. It is just a bit heavy for summer packing, but the stability and ease of setup more than offsets the weight of about 8 lbs.
The materials are top shelf and the construction is impeccable."

"I have had my Viper for 9 years. It is an awesome tent. I have used it in all four seasons, and have never had any leaks, or other problems. The two doors and vestibules make the tent versatile and the rectangular shape allow plenty of room for two, even if you are tall (I am 6'9"). The only downside to the tent is that the manufacturer does not exist any more, so the lifetime warranty does not exist either. But if you can find one, they are great. I wouldn't ever think of ditching mine since I have yet to find something as long or similar to it under $350.00."

"I have owned my Viper for 8 years and it has seen beaches, tropical rainforests, mountains, and Masai manyattas! Never has let me down once, dry even in the heaviest downpours. Pros are huge amounts of space, taut set-up without guy lines, good size vestible, and water proofness. Cons doorways leave a little to be desired in terms of ease of entry, total weight 9+ lbs. these days is high, very hard to get any parts for if you have broken pole, however not impossible. All in all if you can get your hands on one (Ebay) my experience would say don't hesitate! If you are looking for a modern equivalent the Marmot 2-person Swallow is about as close as you can get."
