"Roomy for 3 average sized individuals. The two doors are convenient, each with sufficient vestibule space for gear and/or cooking. Stays dry in rain, although interior of the fly can build up condensation, dripping on the tent.
The main reason I write this review is because I have gripes. I also have a Mountain Hardware Trango Asault that is superior to any tent I have found. I was expecting this same quality when I purchased the Hammerhead, however some of the features I was expecting were not included in this model. My main complaint is that the fly does not have clips that attach it to the tent. The attaching points have holes that attach to the tent poles in the same way that the tent body attaches. If you have the optional footprint (fitted ground tarp), this ammounts to three strap grommets (holes) that the pole tip must fit into, and the one on bottom often slips off. I really have no idea who came up with this system, but it stinks. Another complaint is that there are only two small mesh pockets on each side inside the tent. My other MH tent has pockets everywhere, including a gear loft at each end. My final complaint is that the fly windows that MH brags about have no visability. While this is not really an issue, I believe that the cost of these tents could be brought down a bit if they were not included. I believe they are a marketing gimick.
I'm not sure if I would complain about the tent had I not already used my Trango, but I plan on returning this one for a refund."
