Alps Mountaineering Extreme 3 Review

"Let me say up front, that I own a sleeping bag, pack and tent from Alps Mountaineering, and I am a big fan of their products.

I\'m very happy with the Extreme 3--the weight is not bad for a 3 person tent (a little less than 7 lbs trail weight), and the design is excellent. The three-pole design is very sturdy: we slept in a fierce wind above 11,000 feet one night on a recent trip, and the tent lays down much less than two-pole tents do.

I recently car-camped with it here in Kansas for a couple very humid warm nights--no condensation. I\'ve had no problem with zippers, etc. This is a very well-made tent for a bargain price.

My only complaint is that the it\'s a little large in the stuff sack it comes with, but that\'s true of most tents."
