"I've tried them all! I bought 4 other types trying to find the perfect chair, this is it! I have had mine for 18 years and carried it over 4,000 miles without a single problem. It's old now and I have a backup for when it finally passes on but this is the ticket if you want light weight super comfort. I use mine at music festivals, laser light shows, picnics, etc. It went 2,200 miles on the AT with me and I never even thought of sending it home. Probably could have sold a hundred if I had them with me. Every friend I hike with now carries one. "

"Once you've sat in a Sling-Light, you'll want one. I got mine after another hiker let me try his chair on Burro Pass in Yosemite in 1991. It weighs only 20oz w/ very comfy headrest and makes sitting in camp w/ a book a total pleasure. No sore butt from rocks and logs. Lash it to the outside of your pack w/bungee cord. Mine is in perfect shape after 14 years!"

"Love it. Weighs one pound and is one camp luxury I'll never leave home. Why suffer on the ground all evening when you can relax in a reclining chair off of the ground? Helps with my bad back since it supports the back, far better than a stool or mat on the ground. Did check out the Therm-a-rest conversion kits when I was shopping around. The kits weight a pound, too, and I also didn't want to risk puncturing my pad on the ground. They also don't provide as good back support. So for the same weight, I'll take the chair. See www.slinglight.com"
