"Poor quality but comfortable. I wore these on the West Coast Trail and they were fine. A year later they leaked like a sieve. I got blisters in Big Sur when I stepped in a puddle and they leaked immediately. After that I couldn\'t even walk in wet grass without getting wet feet.
Salomon makes good ski gear but that\'s about it. Their hiking boots are pretty well disposable. Wear them for a year and throw them away.
I have replaced them with Hanwags."
"I bought these at the start of last summer when I was in search of lightweight, confortable, backpacking boots. These are great. They offer pretty good water protection, decent stability for their weight, and good arch support. I didn't get a single blister last summer with them. I would say they are probably not quite stable enough for very heavy loads on rough trails, though."
"I've owned a pair of Adventure 7 hiking boots for more than seven years. They remain the most comfortable shoe in my closet in addition to performing well on the trail. Contrary to what some may speculate, these boots handle large loads and rough trails with ease. You don't have to make your feet uncomfortable to carry a big pack."
