The hike startsin Lee City on the Little Sunlight road. You hike back into lush forest, up and over the tree line into Yellowstone from the east down into the Hoodoo Basin. Hoodoo Basin is named after all of its volcanic rock formations that look like people and animals and at night when the wind blows it sounds haunted. In the Hoodoos there are tons of obsidian pits where you can tell indians use to work and make arrowheads if you take time to look you can find peices and whole arrow heads. (Remember it is Illegal to take this stuff from a national park) Also on the two hi points one where you cross into Yellowstone, there are smole rings. These used to comunicate from tribe to trib. There is tons of stuff to say about this trip but it is one that I would do over and over. Enjoy the wild life.. Mountain sheep, Grizzly, elk etc...
