A moderate hike into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness region of the central Cascades. This 5 mile round trip trek will climb through old growth forest with portions looking over Talapus Creek. It's a little over a mile to Talapus Lake and then about another mile or so to Olallie Lake. This is great in spring and nice in summer and fall. Total elevation gain is 1132' over 2.5 miles.
