Coming in from Little Cottonwood Canyon vs. coming in from Big Cottonwood Canyon is a faster route to the major peaks that offer the awesome views everyone comes in for. From here you can bag Sunset peak, special treat for locals on a Full moon. Aside from the elevation gains, this is a fairly easy hike with just enough terrain change to check out your skills. From loose rock to sand in exposed and wooded trail. Very cool.
