Description
The Montgomery Bell trail circumnavigates Montgomery Bell State Park for a distance of 10.3 miles. It is very well marked and easy to hike, with small changes in elevation that should present no problem to the average hiker. Three shelters are located along the trail which have to be reserved in advance. Camping along the trail is permitted. I did this hike in three hours, but it would be a decent two-day trip if you just want to relax and enjoy the quite of the Central TN forests.

Directions to Hike
From downtown Nashville, take I-40 west for 27 miles to exit 182 (Dickson/Fairview). Turn left onto
Hwy 96 west for 14 miles. Turn right at the Hwy 70 junction. Follow Hwy 70 east for 3.5 miles to the park entrance.

Contact Information
For more information, contact the park office at (615)797-9052.
