Description
Vergin Falls is formed by an underground stream that emerges from a cave, drops over a 110-foot cliff and goes back into a cave at the bottom. There four water falls,a creek that goes under ground and then comes to the surface again, some great over looks and the Caney Fork River on the trail. The hike takes 6 to 8 hours. Carry a flashlight!

Directions to Hike
From Crossville TN. take HWY.70 west to the small town of Derossett. Turn left at a break store on to Mourberry Road for 5.9 miles. Then turn right at the Chestnut Mountain Wilderness sign onto Scott Gulf Road. The parking area is two miles on the right.
