Description
Haw Ridge contains several interconnecting trails on a large peninsula. I like to follow along the river's edge. Terrain can be stenuous but most trails are shaded except for the areas near TVA power lines. There is a picnic table near the south side and remains of an old dairy farm with silo near the SE corner. The trails are heavily used my mountain bikers so the best time to hike is during typical working hours. First time hikers can easily get lost without a map/compass. There are numbered posts corresponding to maps provided. There are certain fall days the park is closed for deer hunters. Watch for poison ivy, ticks, copperheads.

Directions to Hike
From Knoxville, go north on Pellissippi Parkway over the Solway bridge and make a right onto Edgemore Road. After about a half mile turn right to a gravel parking area. A kiosk has maps.

Contact Information
The park is owned by the city of Oak Ridge and TVA.
