This hike is situated in Raccoon Creek State Park. The Wildflower Reserve is just across the road from the park, although it technically is part of the park. There are enough trails to create hikes ranging in length from 1 to 5 miles and the trails are clearly marked. There is very little climbing other than a pretty steep section to the Jennings trail. After that, it is mostly rolling walks through the woods, by the creek, and through the meadow. 80% of the trails are in great shape, with a few that needed weeds cut as you could barely see the trail. Not too mnay people on the trails, and you will see a lot of butterflies, birds, deer, chipmunks, and other small wildlife. There is a park ranger station at the trailhead that has some exhibits, maps, as well as toilets and water fountains. Picnic areas are across the street at Raccoon Creek State Park. I hiked this with my 4 and 7 year old sons and it was just the right amount of hills and walking for us all. Overall I would give it an 8 out of 10.
