The review posted so far does not do this place justice. I love this place and it is my standby when I need a great hike close to home. It feels like real wilderness with great scenery, outstanding variety of flora and fauna, and vistas. There are alos plenty of loop options as the main orange blazed trail is broken up with two cross connectors and numerous cross country ski trails and roadways, pipelines, and powerlines. You can fashion a loop for 2 days to 10 to suit the time you have. And, chances are, you won't see any people. Plenty of water is available on the trail. Maps are free at numerous trailheads. The most convenient place to start is the trailhead at Parker Dam but you can be creative with starting points as parking exists at numerous points on the trail. Enjoy!
