Frick Park is an oasis in the City of Pittsburgh. Much like Discovery Park in Seattle one can escape the city and for a while feel deep in the forest. Frick has over 5 miles of trail that transverse hills, steep ravines, valleys and around every corner one can expect a suprise. The city of Pittsburgh has a site that offers basic maps - www.city.pittsburgh.pa.us. Also, I am beginning a gps mapping project of this and other parks in Pittsburgh that will offer great detail on trails, flora and fauna.
