This trail is in The Redbud Valley Natural Area in Tulsa. I wanted to go hiking and this trail was not far away so I thought I'd give it a try. I was very suprised at the diverse scenery packed into this 1.0 mile trail. It can be longer if you do A couple of loop arounds to different sections. The trail-head is in the parking lot. Take the trail on the left it takes you into the woods uphill past some large rocks until it levels off. You will wind through the woods for a bit until you come to a fork in the trail. You can take the Woodland Fork which keeps going through the woods or you can take the Prarie Fork which will take you out into the prarie section where you will alot of Cactus and Yuca. Either way you go you will meet up at the same spot. The two sections meet at The Ravine. Its a drop off to the left where you can see Bird Creek. The trail continues on around and down into The Ravine. The scenery changes quite a bit. You are now surounded by limestone and tall cliffs. To the right inside the cliff is a cave. Off to the left a ways is a pond. The trail follows the base of the cliffs until it splits. You can either take the trail on up to the top along the bluff line or stay on the bottom and try the view from below. Try one and then loop around and take the other. The two meet up towards the end of the trail where there is another pond. A little futher on and your back in the parking lot. If you in the area give it a try you won't be disapointed.
