The trails at Alabaster Caverns State Park center in and around Cedar Canyon. There is a nice overlook into the canyon just west of the picnic tables by the gift shop. You can pick up a brochure and trail info at the gift shop. The trails include- Freedom Trail 1/2 mile, Old Two Toes Trail 3/4 of a mile, Little Black Bear Trail 1/2 mile, Raptors Roost Trail 2/3 of a mile. There is a trail that hikes down into the canyon and up the other side to a collapsed natural bridge. The bridge collapsed in 1992. Cedar Canyon is a scenic hike no matter what trail you take. The canyon is filled with cedar trees, and there is a creek which runs through the bottom. There is a bridge on the trail that crosses the creek. In addition to hiking there is also Caving. The park has 5 wild caves that can be explored if you have the proper equipment and a permit from the office. There is also a guided tour through the main cave which you must purchase tickets for at the office. This is the largest gypsm cave in the world. There are campgrounds which you may stay at and they have a lodge with a resturant.
