A fairly well maked trail that can be walked as a a short loop (2.5 Miles)or as an overnighter(15 miles). The trailhead is close to Corning Ohio off of Irish Ridge Road, there are signs to get you there. The trail starts off through a pinewoods and crosses Eels run several times, there is no bridge and if the water is up you should plan on doing some wading. The trail is marked in a clockwise direction and in some places the blazes are indistinct and the trail difficult to find probably due to the need to cross Eels run at different places dependent on the water level. I have found from past experience its easier to walk the trail in a counterclockwise direction. The hills are a little steeper but the climbs are shorter that way.Walking counter clockwise you will cross an old building foundation and see some fruit trees where a farm used to be.Then the trail follows the edge of Wildcat hollow until you come to another planting of pines. From here the trail turns and drops down into the hollow passing the abandoned remains of some old oilwell sites before crossing a county road and continueing uphill through some old growth hardwood trees. The grade this way is fairly moderate but continuous as you pass some private land that is cleared for cattle grazing. The trail goes down a steep switchback to cedar run again going through a pine planting before crossing Cedar run. At different times there has been a footbridge across cedar run and at different times it has been washed out. From there the trailfollows the eastern side of the streambed before it turns and begins the climb to the ridge top through and by an older clearcut area.Where the trail crosses an oilwell service road it is easy to loose because during deer season this is or was a very popular camping area for hunters and the area is pretty well disturbed by vehicle tracks etc. From here the trail follows the edges of the hollow as it heads slightly northwest towards another road crossing. This is my favirote section as the trailseems to stay at a constant elevation following the contours of the hollow instead of shortcutting the ravines.
