Paved and thus well suited for bicycle touring, this trail/park is an excellant hiking trail. The park is actually an old railroad right-of-way that is about 66' wide and nearly 50 miles long. For the most part, it follows the banks of the Ohio and National Scenic River, The Little Miami. Hikers can walk on pavement or grass. The trail begins with a parking lot in Milford. Other access and parking and refreshments) can be found in Miamiville, Loveland, Foster, Morrow, Ft. Ancient, Corwin, and Spring Valley. Between Morrow and Ft. Ancient (apprx. 3 miles from Morrow) there is a steep but well maintained trail into the Ft. Ancient State Memorial. This park contains a museum, Native American earthworks, and hiking trails. The only overnight camping is found at the Strout Rd. junction between Morrow and Ft.Ancient. Canoes can be rented at Ft. Ancient for the return trip toward Milford.
