This "figure 8" hiking route covers much of this park's 1200 acres with beautiful views, streams, a waterfall and Tripod Rock, a 160 ton boulder perched atop three small boulders. Several overlooks with great views of NYC and the surrounding hills. Although weekends get busy, you can still find some solitude with 20 miles of trails to choose from. This Morris County Park has a visitor center with maps, displays and restrooms. There are also guided hikes and nature programs provided year round. A great day hiking location!
