This hike is really quite nice. I made an overnight flyfishing trip out of it. It runs along the Stillwater River. From the trail head you hike along some gorgeous rapids with pleny of waterfalls and an overhaning cliff. One and a half miles later the trail diverges from the river only to come back to the river where the water is much wider and slower. You will know exactly what I am talking about when you see it. This is where you will want to camp. No fees but spots are somewhat limited. It almost looks as if it isn't moving, but it is so throw your fly out there and slowly watch a 14" Brookie hit it. Amazing fishing. Caddis flies work the best. And wildlife is abundant. Had a deer walk right up to me and heard coyotes in the distance.
