This hike is a steady climb up from 5300' to 8800'. Bring water for 5 or 6 hours of hiking, since there is none on the way. On this hike, ven while in the trees there are great views of the Teton River canyon. The mountain looks intimidating, but is easy to climb. At the top, hikers can see peaks as far north as Glacier Park and as far south as the Scapegoat wilderness. Nearby, hikers get a great view of the back of the Rocky Mountain Front and the prarie beyond. Also check out the last remenants of an old fire watch. There are lots of campgrounds on the way to the trailhead, but no places to camp on the hike.
