The hike was nice although we did not go the entire distance. We went for a day hike. We started out from the POW Camp, with 2 dogs, and walked as far as we could for our time frame and then walked back. The portion of the trail we were on was very clear and open. I do want to mention that there is a very large alligator in the POW Lake. That\'s something I always worry about with dogs, so I stood on the weir for a spell with my binoculars and sure enough, he emerged from below the duck houses. He slowly made his way around closer to my location. I would guess he was 8 - 10 feet. Which isn\'t huge but it ain\'t small neither. I\'d like to go again when I have more time and do the whole trail. As with any Southern hike, be aware of mosquitoes and snakes.
