This loop trail is located in the Pinckney Recreation Area. The trail begins at the Silver lake beach and winds its way through mostly wooded areas with rolling hills. On parts of the trail you feel very remote and isolated, while on other parts you see houses and feel like you are walking through someones backyard. You will pass by several lakes and cross several streams. All water crossings have bridges. There is a Short cut that you can take if you want to cut about 5 miles off the hike. Walk in camping is available at Blind Lake. This is a small but nice camping area with sites right on the water. However, this area is right on the trail. So you have no privacy from people on the trail. Water is available along the trail. This is a very popular mountain bike trail also. Bikes are to travel in one direction while hikers travel in the opposite direction. There are several other trails in the park that can be linked to this one for a longer outing. All trails are well marked.
