Trail winds along the Tahquamnenon River from the Lower Falls to the Upper Falls, 8 miles round trip. Alot of tree roots exposed. Mindful steps. A hike of medium difficulty. Alot of small hills and stairs well maintained. Dense groth along the river. Distance very deceiving because of winding trail and hills. Wonderful tall trees, lots of shade. Huge Ferns grow along the river side. Beautiful! The Upper Falls is a beautiful site.. the golden brown tanic water cascades over a limestone cliff and carrys 4 miles downstream to the Lower Falls. A great little tavern awaits at the visitors center at the Upper Falls. Try the Amber Ale!!
