Description
Azaela Trail is 30 some odd miles of dense forest trail. Within Kisatche National Forest, the trail takes you through a large varities of trees, with some very beautiful magnolias and azaelas! There are several creeks that provide water, and camping is permitted. This is the best trail I have found in Louisiana for serious hiking. It is also the longest in LA.

This is one you don't want to miss!

Directions to Hike
There are several access point off of Hwy 28 as well as 165 in Woodworth. I usually start 15 miles out of Alexandria at Valentine Lake. Take 28 to Gardner and follow the signs. If you follow the trail all the way you will end up in Woodworth just off of 165. Best to get a trail map from a ranger station!
