The trail is marked with blue blazes since old logging roads branch from it. The Blue Bend does not get much traffic. You’ll ascend for about a mile and top off walking on the hill. Wildflowers are beautiful in the summertime. Then you descend and reach the Cumberland River. This fork in the trail is the Sheltowee Trace. Take a left and walk on the flat trail. There will be several streams feeding the Cumberland River in the rainy seasons. You’ll arrive back at the bridge and have to walk the road back to your car.
