This is a backcountry trail in Fort Mountain State park. The trail goes around the parimeter of the state park at some points leaving the state park bounderies. There are 4 strategically place backcountry campsites that are only reachable by trail. It is a moderate to strenuous loop trail. It is best hiked counterclockwise. All and all it is a decent trail, there are many steep inclines. My favorite part of the trail was a section that ran parallel to a steep cliff for at least a mile, offering a majestic view of the surrounding mountains. Although it is a good trail it still offered very little view.
