Locating the trail head was probably the most difficult part of the trail. Once found, the trail itself was outstanding! We hiked this trail the last weekend of Sept., so the weather was definately in our favor. Couple this with the little rain fall, and the river crossings became welcomed events. There was a little more traffic than usual, but everyone that we met had there own camp site well spaced out from others. The trail blazes were easy to spot and easy to navigate. I did have some trouble with my GPS at some points, but I was able to easily navigate. I only packed a Camel Pack "Mule" with and extra pair of shoes and socks. Do bring either Teva's or good mesh shoes, you will have to endure wet feet for the majority of the trail.
