This trail is unique to Florida, in one of the most prestine areas of the state. I started this trail at Juniper Springs, as you take this trail north you start the trail you enter the Juniper Springs Wilderness Area which is an area protected from any human devices, and any maintenance is performed without motorized equipment in any way. This trail has a variety of plants and terrain from deep, thick, lucious forests to short scrubs in white sands with large hills. There are many lakes in this area, some of which provide a refreshing swim at the end of a long day. These lakes also provide reasonable drinking water (remember to filter/purify), which is important because there are not many state provided water stations. I would highly recommend this hike, and plan on taking this hike again, as far as the heat and mosquitos I would say that if you can handle typical Florida summers they should not pose to great of a problem.
