Description
This is a great 2-4 hour day hike. The trail makes a loop to the base of Greyrock. One way is short and steep, the other is longer and gradual (the whole loop is about 5.5 miles). At the top of the loop sits Greyrock--a large granite outcrop. A short, steep trail involving some pretty serious bouldering leads to the summit of the rock. From the top of Greyrock you can see Wellington, Fort Collins, and Horsetooth Reservoir.

Directions to Hike
From Fort Collins take highway 34 up Poudre Canyon for about 20 minutes. You can't miss the signs for the Greyrock Trailhead. The parking lot is on the left side of the road (south) and the trailhead is on the right side of the road (north). Parking is limited and fills up fast as this is a very popular hike.
