Description
It can be done in one day, but we opted to overnight at tree-line and summit the next day. The hike to camp at tree-line is moderate with some difficult sections. The hike from tree-line to the summit begins gradually, but the last mile requires some scrambling and the crossing of several snowfields. But the summit is worth the effort, it's a one-billion-dollar view.

Directions to Hike
From Buena Vista, turn west off of highway 24 to county road 350. You come to a "T" in the road, turn right and follow the sign that says, "North Cottonwood Creek Trailhead." From there follow the dirt road(it can get pretty rough after a rain) to the parking lot and from there you are ready to abandon the horseless carriage.
