This hike begins at Ebbetts Pass up Highway 4 past Lake Alpine. Some of the views are breathtaking, and the weather is usually good for hiking in the summer. The first two lakes you come accross if you go north are Upper and Lower Kinney Lakes. If you venture further north, the next lake you will come across is Raymond Lake. its about 7 to 9 miles from Ebbetts Pass to Raymond Lake. Pennsylvania Valley is the most difficult part of the hike because you must go all the way through it and beyond to get there. Once at Raymond Lake you will find that it is one of the most peacefull places you've seen. Extreemly nice sunsets are very common. At night if you look out into the valley north east of the lake, you can make out the lights from a far off city.
