a fairly rugged, 1 day, all downhill hike from the top of Laguna Mountain in S.E. San Diego county to the scorching desert. A wide diversity of plant life and terrain, ilnterspersed with thick brush, poison oak, and rocky climbs. The trail's not well marked and we got MAJOR lost, despite a map, compass, and pedometer. Waterfalls during the winter & spring, none in the summer. I'd go again on a cooler day & with better preparation (long pants for the stinging nettle & poison oak), if it wasn't for the occassional, not-distant-enough pops of gunfire.
