Kerosene, 10/20/06 "Okay if you like wooden tent platforms. It's amazing how many they've positioned on the ridge around the spring, so it must get pretty crowded in the summer despite a 2.5 mile, 2,000' ascent from Franconia Notch, all on a river of rock. Caretaker fees were $8/night for non-AMC members. I had the good fortune to witness a lovely sunset over South Kinsman from the rock just to the right of the spring. It's about 6 miles to the summit of Mt. Liberty where you can catch the sunrise or sunset."
Michael, 08/04/07 "My family and I hiked up Liberty Springs and stayed there that night. It was nice but the water was hard to fill bottles with because it comes out of a pipe."
